NEIL ARDLEY.

GREEK VARIATION.

Ultra Rare one sided stereo Acetate of British Jazz masterpiece from 1970,  Near Mint metal one sided pressing, mastered on the Apple record label (Apple Corps Ltd 3 Saville Row London W1 Custom recording printed around label).  This has to be ultra rare for Apple completeists too.  Its only one side of the finished album that was released on Columbia label.  It includes Japanese obi band and insert printed in Japanese. The disc itself is English?  A most peculiar item and obviously the only one in the world.  Includes notes written by Neil Ardley on inner sleeve (see close ups), gives his thoughts to the sound and to how he would like it to be changed for the final master.  Talks about lack of bass of viola, variations 4-bass down, more climax at the end before drum roll, slightly slow? / these are just examples as to what he has written, there are more notes and names of players etc.   This was bought along with a huge collection from Neil Ardley himself.  The previous owner purchased the musical estate of Neil Ardley in full.  I purchased the record collection from the owner.   Titles include unplayed promo/demo/acetates copies with hand written sleeve notes for alterations by Neil himself.

Vinyl--- clean excellent+, (just a couple of very light marks), Plays great,  Not possible to find another, you have more chance of winning the lottery!.  Clear one side only label. plain metal reverse side displays the stamp code-A941. 

Fantastic cast of Star players includes--Ian Carr and Don Rendell, plus many others.
