THE NASHVILLE ALLSTARS - "After The Riot At Newport"
Nashville sessions guys like Chet Atkins, Hank Garland, Floyd Cramer, Bob Moore, Boots Randolph with a young Gay Burton on a set of jazz played at Newport to soothe the wild youth ... after the famous riots.
Original USA first pressing STEREO (with 'Living Stereo' at bottom of label). Dated 1960 (I believe) at bottom of back cover. This LIVING STEREO press is more desirable for audiophiles, and infinitely more rare - from this early age when mono was still king.
With Jim Flora cover art, especially apropos to the music inside.
Cover is VG++. The only actual flaw is a pre-split on top edge (split back from opening about 3 inches; a fairly neat split without much tearing). There is minor ring-soiling; I didn't try to clean it but it looks like the kind of light soiling that will clean right off. Labels are Near Mint. Record is VG++.
I had a mono copy in lesser shape I sold last year. This was the keeper copy in my own collection but I'm starting to 'thin the herd' so it's time to let this go.
