I am selling this box set for a business acquaintance who purchased 4 big tubs of records from a friend who buys storage unit auctions.
The gentleman who lost his storage unit was apparently very serious about his music and took very good care of his records.
This auction is for the Mosaic Records 1995 release of Miles Davis The Complete Plugged Nickel Sessions. Catalogue Number MQ10-158
This 10LP release was pressed in 180 gram vinyl and limited to 5000 copies. You are bidding on number 2282 of 5000.
There is renewed interest in Miles and his music with the release of the Documentary "Miles Ahead" on April 1st 2016.
I am not an experienced record grader so I am not going to attempt to grade things but I will provide an accurate description and pictures.
I am not seeing any scratches on the albums themselves. They look like they may not have ever been played.
I wonder if the original owner may have played these once and recorded them to CD or computer.
None of the sleeves have been sliced open by the records.
The booklet shows a little wear to the right of the staples on the front cover and has some black marks and lines on the inside of the front cover. See pictures.
The box is in very good shape just some surface abrasions to the front and back from storage.
There is one spot where you can feel that the label is torn behind Miles' leg. See pictures.
The binding that holds the box top the the box bottom is in excellent shape.
This is selling for between 500 and 800 dollars on discogs.
