A long-deleted 5LP box set, covering all the recordings that this popular pianist/bandleader made on Blue Note 1944-45, including also the Baby Dodds quartet date with Albert Nicholas from Dec.16th 1945. This has the usual luxury booklet with high-definition photographs, full track listings and discographical details. There are no fewer than 10 previously unissued performances.(More information on request.)

DESCRIPTION/CONDITION : The discs are E+ to N- (VG++toM-), 'as new' apart from a few very light scuffs. The box is also E+toN- (VG++toM-), 'as new', apart from very minor corner damage and surface rubbing/scratching.
