Original 1967 lp on Deram (DML 1013) The Mike Westbrook Concert Band – Celebration. Here is the original mono pressing of this superb lp.An absolute masterpiece from Westbrook and his band,John Surman,Mike Osborne,Malcolm Griffiths,Harry Miller,Alan Jackson,Dave Holdsworth,etc.Includes the huge club track ‘A Greeting’. Also the uplifting ‘Pastoral’ and the beautiful brooding ‘Dirge’.Fantastic set with a fine performance from all involved,amazing arrangements and some superb soloing. A classic piece of british jazz and an essential addition to any serious collection. Stunning clean copy and it’s the rarer mono pressing too.The vinyl is a strong excellent+ with just a very few paper scuffs visible under direct strong light.Clean,glossy vinyl.Clean labels with no obvious signs of wear.Jacket is excellent+ without any problems,all seams and spine are complete without wear.No creases,sharp corners.A fantastic copy and probably the cleanest one you will find,I doubt this lp has been played more than a few times at most.
