This is a demonstration sample of the original stereo version of the Blues Breakers LP issued in 1969.
The mono version of this recording had been available since1966.
I would like to try and clarify why this stereo Blues Breakers pressing is being offered to you in a mono sleeve and has
The World Of John Mayall (SPA 47) labels, which actually belong to a compilaton album first issued in 1970...

40 years ago I worked for The Decca Record Company, although I have a fairly reasonable recollection of the events from that period, I am very
happy to be corrected if you feel the passage of time has clouded my memory. 
John Mayall had recently moved from Decca to Polydor and was about to release the 'Turning Point' album. 
Also around that time Mike Vernon, the original producer of 'Blues Breakers' had been asked to create a stereo version of this record. 
He had discovered that the original multi-track tapes still existed and had been able to make a genuine stereo mix of this landmark album. 
It was also thought at this point, probably by the Decca marketing department, that this would also make an ideal addition to Decca's 'World Of...' series
and for a while was destined to be a bargain budget record. This is why the labels are 'The World Of John Mayall' (SPA 47) on a 'Blues Breakers' pressing.
However, common sense prevailed and 'Blues Breakers' remained as a classic catalogue item and I was able to replace my worn-out
mono version with this genuine stereo demo. Because test pressings were not generally circulated in sleeves, I used my
existing mono version to sleeve the new record.

I hope this makes some sense of a slightly confusing chapter events and I'll happy answer any queries you may have.

MINT:
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT:
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD:
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR:
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR:
The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD:
The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
