We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

RARE & CLEAN ....1974 original, limited white label promotional rare collectible of a sought after HARD ROCKING cooker by the name of STEPSON....
Portland's Stepson were a sweatdrenched bluesy hard rock act that rose from the ashes of defunct area band, Touch. Their sole album was released on ABC/Dunhill Records in 1974, though the band were essentially a studio creation. Despite the fact that the band never toured in support of this amazing album, over the years the word has gotten out about this incredible album and the band enjoys cult success among collectors and obscurity geeks. Though the album doesn't reinvent the wheel, it is a fine example of Detroit style hard rock with a healthy dose of street punk attitude (MC5 meets the Rolling Stones, anyone?). Easily one of the best example of "cock rock" to come along at such an early stage of the genre's existence, Stepson deserve recognition for their meager contribution to rock music. After the band's efforts to record a followup were snuffed out, several members went on to later work for Elektra Records. Others went on to do session work elsewhere. Stepson vanished like a brightly burning comet across the sky, leaving us this excellent hard/blues album. Oh by the way,it contains eawrly Zappa/Straight Records legend guitarist Jeff Simmons on one track. Most of the songs were written by the group and the vocals and guitar parts are especially interesting (Rude Attitude, I Apologize, Burnin' Hurt). Arthur Lee of Love and Chris Hillman of The Byrds get "special thanks" on the cover. Hawks, Newman and Gallucci had all previously been in Don and the Goodtimes and later with Hauser in Touch. After the demise of TOUCH, 3 (of the 5) members went on and resurfaced in 1974 with this hard drivin' slab of attitude, swagger, fuzz and hammond -- a heavy Detroit-vibe hangs in the air throughout.
