Description

This is the original RVG-stamped deep-groove "P"-pressing of Lee Morgan "City Lights" on Blue Note 1575: the record appears in its original pressing only with differing labels, with a West 63rd St. label on one side and a West 63rd St., New York 23 label on the other. There has never been an example with NY 23 labels on both sides; this copy has it on Side 1. The playing surface is in virtually new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The laminated cover has the West 63rd St. address and is in stunning condition: perfect seams and sharp corners; bright and clean throughout, with just ¼" rubbing at the bottom of the spine and light foxing around the borders of the back slick. Personnel includes Curtis Fuller, George Coleman, Ray Bryant, and Paul Chambers.
