I Kong: The way it is

Recorded and released in Jamaica in 1979 on Top Ranking . (This is an original release) The record was produced by Top Ranking Jamaica. The songs were recorded at Harry J Studio and Lee Perry’s Black Ark Studio.

I Kong (Ricky Storme) a member of the Twelve Tribes of Israel only recorded occasionally. He became a cult hero after his single recording  “The way it is”.

This album contains effective roots material in the meditative vein associated with Twelve Tribes performers.

The original release is absolutely not easy to get!

RECORD COLLECTOR’S GRADING SYSTEM

MINT (M)The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioriation in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Recods advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX)The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD (VG)The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surfacemarks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G)The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some destortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F)The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surfacenoise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or defaced.

POOR (P)The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B)The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler.
