Description
A FACTORY SAMPLE FAC-2 - Original Double vinyl 7" EP on the FACTORY record label from 1978. Tracks are: Side 1 : JOY DIVISION - Digital / Glass; Side 2 : THE DURUTTI COLUMN - No Communication / Thin Ice (detail); Side 3 : JOHN DOWIE - Acne / Idiot / Hitler's Liver; Side 4 : CABARET VOLTAIRE : Baader-Meinhoff / Sex in Secret.
This is the Original Issue of FAC-2 A Factory Sample Double EP, bought new by me in 1978. The Double EP also contains two stickers: One Sheet with four images (perforated, as issued) and one small diamond shaped sticker with Factory Records 2 printed on it.
CONDITION: Record One (Joy Division / Durutti Column) is in excellent plus condition. Record Two (John Dowie/Cabaret Voltaire) is in excellent minus condition. Stickers: The sheet with four images is in excellent minus condition - there is a crease in the bottom left hand corner (ends at the head of the alien) and there is some evidence of 'ringwear' where the record rubbed against it in the sleeve. The diamond Factory sticker has a crease on the left side from hand to head, however this is how it was when I bought it. The Sleeve, I can only grade as in very good minus condition. It has all the usual creases and ringwear to be found on this release, and in addition the centre fold has suffered due to 30 years use and storage with a small curl in at the top and there is a small quarter inch hole (no loss of film) on the top black strip near the spine (see separate scan of cover). This is a great shame, and if you are seeking an excellent or better sleeve, then this is not for you; however as you can see the overall condition of the item is by no means unacceptable.
