I am parting with some of my treasured LPs. Here's the FIRST AD BACK US PRESSING of LITTLE RICHARD BUCK RAM IN MONO CAL420. The LP consisted of material he did when he was signed to RCA around 1951, years before his first LP was released on Specialty. Once he his success, RCA CAMDEN revisited these songs and decided to release it in 1958 at the height of Little Richard's popularity.
This is a great copy. It is the first pressing, and plays great with some audible light noise between some tracks. The cover is nice with very small riggers, and what looks like a wet cup that was put on it, and pulled off some of the cover in a semi circle that is in the front center. On the Back cover, someone wrote a 7 on top left in marker. The labels show that an owner had bad aim, as there are marks around the spindles. The vinyl has beautiful gloss, but with a fingerprint on each side, and a small mark or so on the vinyl that is not audible, and doesn't effect play at all.
It's a nice clean copy with that killer cover.
I love original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY. SS = (STILL SEALED) The record itself is in brand new condition, assumed never to have been played.
M = (MINT) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet,
booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
M - = (MINT MINUS) MINT- is not MINT but is very close to it, near new, there might be a blemish or two, but overall record and jacket are like new or very close to new.
EX = (EXCELLENT) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight
wear and / or creasing.
VG = (VERY GOOD) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the
occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
G = (GOOD) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and
contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
F = (FAIR) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will
be torn, stained and / or defaced.
P = (POOR) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
B = (BAD) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler
We also use + or - to adjust grades in between, so...this scopes out to: SS/M/M-/EX+/EX/EX-/VG+/VG/VG-/G+/G/F/P/B
