Description
I am listing some very nice early jazz LP's. Please view my other auctions. Here is a very nice first pressing deep groove mono copy of Blue Note 1575. The highly sought after Lee Morgan "City Lights" released in 1958. The label has the deep groove and the West 63rd St. address. The heavy vinyl has the RVG and ear etched on both sides in the dead wax. A past auction search on Popsike.com shows high prices in excess of $600 paid for very nice copies like this one. Lee is joined by Curtis Fuller trombone, George Coleman tenor and alto, Ray Bryant piano, Paul Chambers bass and Art Taylor drums. The cover is VG+, no seam splits, very slightly worn corners, excellent lamination, slight age discoloration on back. The vinyl is very clean VG++, just a few super light scuffs that do not produce any audible sound. It plays beautifully with superb fidelity and no noticable background noise. A very nice clean copy. Overseas bidders are welcome. Overseas airmail is $12 for an LP, no insurance offered at this rate. I do not ship overseas surface mail and I do not accept paypal. Overseas bidders must pay through Bidpay or with an international money order. I can no longer accept cash payments by mail. I have had several cash payments stolen in the postal system in the past few months. I will combine winnings to save on shipping. US bidders pay exact priority mail + insurance if requested.
