Lee Morgan's "City Lights" is among his best ever.  Great lp with Lee on trumpet, Curtis Fuller on Trombone, George Coleman on Tenor and alto, Paul Chambers and Art Taylor round it out. 

RECORD :  NEAR MINT/ NEAR MINT MINUS

Original mono  first pressing  blue note 1575 with 47 West 63rd NYC address on both  labels clean with no writing

Deep Groove, RVG and "ear" engraved on the dead wax of both sides

SIDE ONE: PLAY GRADE NEAR MINT MINUS. There's just a minor bit of rubbing around the edge, that causes noise for 30 secs. This dissipates just before the beginning of the first track and becomes clean. Track n. 3 a light mark with occasional soft tics. Rarest and brief episodes of lightest rustlin' here and there not affecting the play whatsoever

SIDE TWO: PLAY GRADE NEAR MINT.

Cleaned with CLEAR AUDIO VACUUM MATRIX

1st original thick and glossy jacket retaining its perfect/spotless lamination with NO shelf wear 

Just a minor top/bottom right corners wear and a small top seam split (near the opening edge) well repaired with glue (see pic)

Bottom seam, spine and the opening edge : INTACT

NO splits, NO ring-wear, NO tears

NO writings, NO stamps, NO holes, NO stains

Just littleTAPE on Back side (see pic)

A thorough cleaning is recommended before playing to remove mold and mildew spores that may not be visible.  

mint- : record and jacket in exceptional condition - virtually same as a new copy - only applied to really outstanding items.

near mint : record and jacket appears in excellent condition - closer examination will show evidence of ownership - lonely scuffs which does not affect play - no ticks - no surface noise - full glossy surface - only a few spindle hole marks - probably the top grading for used records! - jacket in perfect condition apart from minimal edge/ring wear.

very good+ : record shows a few scuffs and surface scratches causing occasional ticks - bright and clean surface - spindle hole marks; jacket with edge/ring wear - bended corners - stickers - cutouts - no mechanical defaults.

good : record with scuffs and scratches causing occasional ticks and pops (non revealing!) - vinyl surface not glossy - spindle hole marks - pressing defaults (bulb) - still a listenable item; jacket with small defects as ripped off stickers - taped seams.

fair : record with scratches causing ticks and pops - occasional revealing ones! - surface noise - lonely offered if item is very rare; jacket with mechanical defaults.
