Description

Well known first pressing of Led Zep 1 with uncorrected A1/B1 matrixes, Turquoise lettering on the cover and Superhype credit on label. Mega Rare. Please read the detailed description.

ARTIST: Led Zeppelin

TITLE: S/T

VINYL CONDITION (VISUAL & PLAY GRADE ): VG(+) The vinyl has retained its original sheen with hairlines and sleeve-removal marks (more on side two than side one), a few small, fine scratches and a couple of longer, more prominent lines visible on each side, but there is nothing bad anywhere.Although some of the marks can be seen in normal light, they are all superficial. There are NO marks on either side which are feelable and absolutely NO deep scratches. I have played the entire record and it sounds really good. There is some background surface noise and crackle which can be heard in the quiet parts and the run-ins/outs, fades, silent grooves and intros and various places where you get a short-lived repetitive click (mainly on side two) and a bit of fuzz and distortion here and there (when listening through headphones) but there is nothing loud or intrusive anywhere. Generally, the loud parts of tracks such as 'Dazed and Confused', 'Communication Breakdown' or 'How many more times' sound Excellent (EX) or better but the quiet parts grade lower than this, with some parts (such as 'I can't quit you Baby') grading only around Very Good/ to Very Good Plus. This is NOT a copy for the audio-perfectionist, but it plays through perfectly with no jumps, skips or sticking and very little surface noise. It's still a pleasure to listen to. Taking into account the different gradings for the loud and quiet parts, overall, I would play-grade both sides Very Good Plus (VG+). Play graded on a Rega P3-24 deck. Denon amp.

SLEEVE CONDITION: VG/ VG(+) The sleeve has no writing, splits, tears or stickers etc, just typical signs of use. There are creases to the laminate around the opening, edges and corners  some laminate pooling along the spine, slight discoloration to the white areas and a few minor marks (creases) here and there. The spine  text is all 100% readable. There are just light signs of use at the opening, and there are two very small repaired nicks (just a few millimeters) near the center of the rear opening. Please see detailed photos and use the zoom in. I've tried to highlight all faults. Properly graded NOT trashed and still a very presentable example. Also has original "plastic bags" poly lined inner. If you'd like to see more photos please contact me.
