Description
Last Rights -- "Chunks" b/w "So Ends Our Night" 7"
Original 1984 release on Taang! Records (catalog # TAANG!-2, original red labels, matrix # NR-15586), in Picture Sleeve, with inserts.Classic Boston Crew hardcore punk single, Choke's band in between Negative FX and Slapshot. This legendary band only played one show and only recorded once... the result: two killer tracks which stand the test of time like few others: Midtempo growl-along HC of the very best, with a hammering sound. Backing vocals on "So Ends Our Night" are done by Jamie Sciarappa [SS Decontrol], Pat Raftery [Gang Green and Negative FX] and Dicky Barrett [The Cheapskates, Impact Unit, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones].
This copy has both sleeves, the white one with "VOCALIST OF NEGATIVE FX" on the front and lots of info on the back AND the red one with nothing on the back. Also has three different Taang! inserts. Pressing info: only 900 copies without the infamous Hitler sleeve, unknown how many red+white sleeve copies like this, but likely less than 500.
CONDITION: Sleeve NM- / Vinyl NM very nice copy close to new, white sleeve has some normal crinkling at fold and near edges, with one slightly dinged corner; vinyl is near pristine, no scratches or scuffs, barely any wear. Graded conservatively using Goldmine standards [G / G+ / VG / VG+ / NM / ]grade only used if record is brand new.
