Description

Blue Note 1524 “‘Round Midnight at the Café Bohemia”. Address of 767 Lexington Ave, NYC on both labels and bottom of back cover. Deep groove. Record has “ear” and “RVG” inscribed in dead wax. 6 tracks include J. R. Montrose, tenor sax; Kenny Burrell, guitar; Bobby Timmons, piano; Sam Jones, bass; Arthur Edgehill, drums. Rare edition. Cover: VG+. Small piece of scotch tape on 3 corners. About 9” of scotch tape along the bottom edge. As the edges show some wear, I am not sure if the scotch tape is for repair but more likely to prevent a bottom split. Name of previous owner written on corner of back cover and initials on 1 label. Very light aging on back cover and labels. Some corner wear with small crease on 1 corner. Record: VG or better. Visually side 1 shows moderate wear with a few light marks and a surface rub. There is light continuous surface noise under the playing. Audibly it is less intrusive as the intensity of the playing increases. Surface noise is barely audible by the 3rd track. Side 2 follows the same pattern. Possibly a little more wear at the beginning of the 1st track, “Night In Tunisia”. There are no scratches or clicks. There seems to be a little more surface noise on the 3rd track on side 2 than on side 1. Audibly checked.
