More details below: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check my other feedback on albums sold over the last 2 years.
I make a £1 loss on postage (Royal Mail small parcel is £4.45, plus £1 for sleeve, plus 55p ebay sellers fees = £6.00) but will always reduce postage to 'at cost' if more than one item is bought. I'm happy to keep purchases for a few days if you are waiting for another item to finish, which you have bid on and want overall reduced postage. More albums being sold the next few weeks and months. Mostly Rock, progressive, psychedelic, folk, new wave and punk from 1965 - 1989. Some very rare, most in great condition. My whole collection of several hundred albums will be sold.
A bit about my albums...
My albums were mostly bought from 1972 - 1993 and always kept in good condition (always kept in the inner sleeves and played with care, touching just the edges. Never left around for the cat to sit on). Anything bought new after 1980 (i.e. most of them) will have had minimal play: Usually played just twice or three times - to record to high quality audio cassette when first bought, and then many were recorded to CD in the mid-2000's and then finally to assess the sound quality for this sale. I always played the audio cassette or CD rather than the vinyl to keep it in pristine condition as much as possible. Anything bought prior to 1980 will have had multiple plays. Some albums were bought second hand, with unknown previous history. These will be stated in the listing.
The LPs have been played and listened to FULLY before sale to assess the audio quality and any defects such as dust clicks, scratches, surface noise etc.. I keep a copy of the .WAV file recorded during playback in case of any query on receipt.
I actively look for and list any defects however minor, to avoid disappointment.
I've tried to describe the vinyl audio condition as best as possible. Where a record has surface noise or multiple clicks (due to dust), I'll describe and list as best as I can, but it will be subjective. A lot of this vinyl is now 40 years old - please don't expect faultless CD quality - this is analogue media and playback equipment.
Visual description and audio assessment will be after light cleaning with LP cleaner and an anti-static cloth.
Audio Quality rating
A - almost as good as new when first bought: minimal noise and few if any dust clicks B - some minor surface noise and some small quantities of dust clicks C- obviously played multiple times, missing higher frequencies, noticeable surface noise and multiple intrusive dust clicks. Occasional repeating surface noise or click sections D- Poor - repeating scratches, lots of surface noise, multiple loud dust clicks. Might stick or jump on lightly setup turntable arms.
