Description

For sale is a rare promotional 1st edition of John Coltrane’s Blue Train on Blue Note. I have not found another promo for sale.

Information: Blue Note BLP 1577 MONO. Deep groove on both sides. Stamped RVG ,ear, and 9M. No “inc” or “R”.

Condition of record: Near mint. Under strong light no hairlines can be seen. The surface is very glossy and clean. Plays very well with no surface noise. Beautiful surface condition.

Condition of label: VG+++ there are no defects. Clean labels. Deep grooves on each side. “For Promotion” on each side.

Condition of jacket: VG+ only since there is tape on all 3 seams. If not for the tape, I would have graded it higher. The jacket has no seam splits, no circle rear, or other defects. The corners are sharp, but there is a small corner bend on top left corner. The back of jacket is free of any soiling or defects. It is very clean and white. (Photo)
