Electric Jimi Hendrix.

No.175 in recent Record Collector’s 200 rarest records of all time.

 

“The plan to sell this album that previewed tracks from the forthcoming Electric Ladyland 2-LP set to Polydor Record club members via mail order was scrapped but not before an estimated 200 copies were sold (or pressed) making it one of the most collectable Hendrix vinyl LPs in the world.”

Vinyl: EX. Light scuffs/scratches on both sides, but nothing deep or major. Nice gloss on both sides and lots of shine.

Cover:. VG+. NB These were put in flimsy sleeves, so creasing and marks on both sides. But no splits or writing and still plenty of shine!!! Spine still robust and record details visible. (See pictures)

Labels: EX/EX. Some spindle marks on both sides (see pix), but less visible against the Track black. Apart from that, nice clean labels and lettering. No writing.

Inner Sleeve: ‘Made in England’ Track polythene sleeve.

Wax codes:

Side 1: 2856 002 printed followed by 11 or so printed digits.

Side 2: 2856 002 hand-written, followed by 613008/AB1 scratched out – these are digits of Electric Ladyland Track LP - making this album all the more intriguing!!!!

 

NOTE! I am also currently selling the only other Track Mail Order release: The Who ‘Who did it!’ (Cat no: 2856 001) on Ebay.
