Description
This is the original deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Lee Morgan “Sextet” on the Lexington Ave. labels of Blue Note BLP 1541. The flat rim playing surface is in excellent condition, with a high luster; other than an inaudible scuff and a minor inaudible rim defect on Side 1, the record plays as near-new – silent, crisp and clear throughout – an outstanding copy. The coated reverse-frame Lexington Ave. cover is also in excellent condition – bright and clean throughout; superficial rubbing/flaking along the seams; ½” wear on the top and bottom seams, at the opening; 1/8” wear at the top left corner. Personnel include Hank Mobley, Kenny Rodgers, Horace Silver, Paul Chambers, and Charlie Persip. $1000.00..
