JIMI HENDRIX
'BAND OF GYPSYS = BAND OF GIPSIES'
on the ORIGINAL TRACK RECORDS lable 2406 002 from 1970
FIRST MATRIXES A-1 and B-1 !!
The cover states "GYPSYS" while the disc lables have "GIPSIES", so a bit of a confusion there when they pressed this LP!
Well, Jimi cut this to satisfy an outstanding contract so I imagine he wasn't so interested to proof-read it....rather head for the studio and make new material as far as he was concerned.
However this stands as a fine example of his off-the-cuff live prowess, which was immeasurable really.
The first cover was withdrawn from sale after Jimi disapproved of that (we was a stickler regarding cover art), and the 'live' shot from - I think - The Isle Of Wight show, replaced it.
The vinyl is Near Mint, a LOVELY copy with OUTSTANDING FULL SHINE!

The GATEFOLD cover grades EX+ having signs of light handling, only.
