Description
Please read my description carefully before bidding. I will ship the item worldwide and will accept a free return if it doesn't match the listing description.
This one is the 1st mono pressing of JACKIE McLEAN's "SWING, SWANG, SWINGIN". BLUE NOTE BLP-4042. This one is an original issue from Blue Note Records, not a reissue version by OJC or Classic Records. Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in 1959, with "EAR" and "RVG" stamped on the dead wax of both sides. Deep groove on both labels.
Address on both Labels are: "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 47 WEST 63rd., NYC"
Address on the back cover is: "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23"
The vinyl looks luster and shine with scuffs and hairlines. There is a large non-feelable scuffs on Side 2 (see picture) and an arch-long non-feelable with feelable scratch on Side 1 (see pictures).
The vinyl played VG on Side 1 with small pops and tics background on many areas (not overpowering music). Music is still very fine. Side 2 played better with small pops here and there. I rated Side 2 between VG+ to VG++
The cover is VG++. Spine are strong. No split. Just writing the name on the back cover.
The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.
My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-.
