Description
This auction is for an LP of "Introducing the Beatles". Released on Vee Jay Records # SR 1062. 63-3402-1 and 63-3403-1 in the run out with 1-24-64 etched in the outer-most ring. This copy checks all the marks of an authentic stereo pressing. The H and E in honey are solid and there are 1/4 fold-overs at the top and bottom seems of the cover. The resolution of the cover is great and George's shadow is present. The colorband around the label flows and the green and purple are there. "Beatles" is above the spindle hole. This version seems to be a bit scarcer with the word "stereo" at 12 o'clock above the bracket logo instead of on the side.
The record does play in stereo and actually sounds incredible. There is a nasty looking scuff of the first track that does not affect play. There are a couple small scuffs/hairlines that are not audible. It plays close to excellent with a few light background ticks between the tracks.
The cover is very good with some general wear, tape residue on the back and an approx. 2.5" seem split at the bottom by the opening.
