'Terang Boelan' was composed by Pierre-Jean de Béranger (1780-1857), a French lyricist. It became popular on the Seychelles from where it spread across the Indian Ocean and reached as far as the Malay Archipelago early in the 20th century. The melody soon became very popular and was given the name Terang Bulan (Bright Moon), becoming a Mayaly evergreen and sung by almost everybody in the 1920s and 1930s. It became the National Anthem of Malaysia in 1963, 'on account of its traditional flavour'. Cf. Wikipedia for original lyrics and translation.

needle, using no noise reduction for grading.
Grading scale for 78s according to VJM standards: N- E+ E E- VG+ VG VG- G+

No packing charges. We sandwich your discs between several squares of stiff corrugated
cardboard, then use bubble wrap around and pack inside a sturdy record mailing box with
more padding material for safe transport.
