Hank Mobley Blue Note 1568-RVG-Ear-D/G-No R under E
This is an original Deep Groove pressing of Blue Note 1568. It has the ear mark and RVG on the dead wax, no ® under the "E" and 47 West 63rd. Cover is VG+, no tears or stains, some age discoloration. The album would be a VG+ to NM if not for two marks in the vinyl, one main mark that can be felt and a smaller one both on the 1st song on the second side. The good thing about the main mark is that it is directly perpendicular to the edge and plays through it with just a little noise. Listen to 30 sec of the first track on the first side which is the quality of all other songs, then listen to the entire song on the second that contains the marks. If requested, I can send a recording of the entire album to the winning bidder before I ship to ensure the quality, just send me an note. Any questions please ask. Thanks.
Grading Scale:
My grading scale for record is from the Goldmine standard, I follow it as closely as possible. When in doubt I go to the lesser grade. Thanks.
(From Goldmine): Mint (M) Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been played, possibly even still sealed.
Near Mint (NM or M-) A nearly perfect record. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. A 45 RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling. An LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits or other noticeable similar defects. No cut-out holes, either. And of course, the same should be true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves and the like. Basically, an LP in near mint condition looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap.
Very Good Plus (VG+) A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK".The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play.Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount.
Very Good (VG) Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them.
Good (G), Good Plus (G+) Good does not mean Bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear (on a styrene record, the groove will be starting to turn white). A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.
Poor (P), Fair (F) The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled, and written upon.

I try my best to research the products I sell and to give the most accurate information that I can. Even though it hasn't happened yet and all my customers have been very pleased with the description of my products, it might happen that something be listed incorrectly. If this were to happen then I would take the necessary steps to correct the situation. Also, if you see something in my listing that may be or is incorrect, please let me know. There is a vast amount of product and many varieties, any correction would be appreciated.

A question was asked about the "Mark" and I answered:
The marks are my way of saying the awful scratch word and I will do my best to add a picture. I've already tried several times but I need to work out the lighting issue. The scratch is 1 1/16" long starting 3/8" from the edge and runs perpendicular to the edge on side 2. The other one can't be felt and can hardly be seen. I have tried to learn the lingo and researched a great deal, I have not however cleaned or attempted to better the appearance of any of the records. The most I've done is purchased a velvet type cleaner to clean the areas that I play for the sound byte. I believe this record could be cleaned to a mint condition if not for the one main scratch. I don't feel that this one could be made any better but I don't know vinyl as well as most people who are interested in this record. I'll work on a picture. Thanks
Also; because of the scratch I need to grade it a VG just for that one scratch.
SPECIAL!!!!!! Get 5% off all orders if you buy more than one record in a 48 hour period. I will also combine shipping. If I send you an invoice for the first record, just don't pay for it and when you purchase a second record I'll send you a combined invoice with the discount. If you intend to buy more than two just shoot me a email and we'll work it out. The point is that anyone who buy two or more gets the discount.
ALSO!!!!!! I am creating a "short" listing (disregard the prices) of some upcoming auction titles in an "Upcoming Auctions" Category in my Ebay Store. Check it out.
After reviewing the record again, second scratch can be felt if you try. I'm trying to include more pictures. I under estimated the interest in this record and will continue to make sure that the buyer is aware of these scratches on side two and that it grades VG. But also to remind you that side one is NM to M. The vinyl is astounding and plays superb.
I have added pictures by creating a similar listing in the "upcoming auctions" category in my store.
