REVELATION
in the Courthouse Park
You are bidding on scarce & desirable Gate 5 Records Issue F of Harry Partch’s “Revelation in the Courthouse Parkâ€. This bizarre dramatic choral work is based on “The Bacchae†of Euripides and is performed & accompanied by the Gate 5 Ensemble utilizing Partch’s strange & wonderful homemade instrumentation. Gate 5 records (Harry Partch) are quite scarce because distribution was only through Partch himself.
Record appears almost Near Mint with one tiny scuff to side 2. After carefully play grading the record I found that it played fine except Side 2, Track 5 has a few ticks to the beginning of the track. The jacket is in Very Fine condition with only slight ring abrasion to the top & bottom of the front cover. All in all a scarce record in excellent condition & a fine work by this wonderfully eccentric and important American avant-garde composer.
