George Michael - Official American Music Industry Award

 

This is a genuine RIAA American music industry Platinum Disc Award from 1988 for 1,000,000 sales of George Michael’s album, ‘Faith’.  This award measures 17x21 inches (43x53cms) and is in good condition.  There’s a few small scratches on the frame, and the black finishing on the side of the frame is starting to come unstuck, however, neither of these things are really noticeable once it’s hanging on the wall.  The award features the RIAA hologram to indicate its authenticity, alongside a plaque that reads:

RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) awards are the American equivalent of British BPI awards, and are only presented to artists, producers, record companies and others in the music industry that contributed to the success of a record (in this case an executive in the US music industry).  This is an official music industry award and should not be confused with any kind of replica or ‘limited edition’ discs that are sold direct to the public.   

 

This is a very rare opportunity to own a genuine piece of George Michael memorabilia.
