rec. in Milan, Italy; 15 June 1964 !
visual grade: beautiful shine, near mint ! kind of heavy vinyl play grade: Vg++ (some rare light tics here & there), LOUD/DEEP/FANTASTIC pressing (a world apart from the recent poor reissue, this copy sounds like some of the best Rudy Van Gelder's cut) !
the audioclips you hear are from the acutal copy on auction
labels: clean, just a couple of spindle marks, run off groove 5059A/5059B cover: little seam split on top, general wear with some dirt & scuffs, one "bubble" on the back (right side close to bottom), little waving on back cover (probably caused by humidity) Vg-- (corners intact, no writings or tape)
conservative grading
comments: for sure one of the rarest 1960's euro jazz album and to me one of the very best modern jazz record from Italy with Gato in top form. original juke box label sold only a couple of times on eBay and in not near perfect shape like this copy. other top euro jazz albums like for example Garbarek- Til Vigdis or Eero Koivistoinen- Odysseus or Yogi Jazz or Hum Dono... sometimes show up but Night in Fonorama is rarely offered (like The music of Komeda LP on Metronome) and it's on many top collectors want list. a rare chance.
record grading system:
M: like new M-: played very few times Vg+: occasional low surface noise, very good condition Vg: light scuffs, surface noise audible, good condition

somebody asked and i was not sure, now i'm pretty sure: it's a MONO recording
On Mar-09-15 at 10:13:35 PDT, seller added the following information:the upper part of the label with written "made in Italy" was missing in the previous two labels photos (sorry, got covered by the inner sleeve and i didn't noticed that)
i now added a "more complete" photo of the label
