FREAK OUT
On offer here is one of the rarest Austrian Psych prog LP’s of all times, a private pressing of only 2 or 3 hundred copies i think, some say as rare as Paternoster. Let me just make one point clear : This has absolutely nothing to do with the crying constant flow of mesmerizing pain you hear on Paternoster, this is rather the opposite, lots of energy flowing here, reminds me a lot of the German Band OUT OF FOCUS. It's really pychedelic with some great sax and guitar solos (sometimes 2 saxes playing at the same time), cool percussion (they start with a cover of Santana's evil ways). It's definitely Teutonic, which gives it a unique flair, sometimes with hints of west coast acid , guitar sounding like country joe & the fish or Big Brother, but never overshadowing the rest, so it's very homogeneous in the very respectful Out of Focus or Kollektiv veign . Definitely underrated .
This copy is immaculate : absolutely Mint all the way : unplayed.
