Description

This record requires little introduction and is a highly sought after original shellac 78 rpm. Many argue that this is the record that changed music history following release in 1954.

It was not released in the U.K. until 2004 to mark its 50th anniversary and reached No 3 in singles chart. It is probably more popular than ever following the release of “Elvis” the movie.

I have owned this record for 21 years  and previous owner is from Nashville. This record is now nearly 70 years old and still sounds good.

Side A.”Thats alright”. Surface is in near excellent condition with minor scuffs It plays perfectly with no skips, jumps or interference.

Label is in excellent condition as can be seen from photos.

In the dead wax is etched U-128-2 OK # 72.

Overall excellent condition.

Side B. “Blue moon of Kentucky.” Playing area in near excellent condition with minor scratches. Plays really well. Label is worn across the middle where a previous owner attempted to erase the original purchaser name.

It does not affect the wording therefore overall in VG condition.

Dead wax etched U- 129-2 # 72 OK.

This is a must collectible for any serious Elvis/ record collector.

Increasing in value as it is becoming harder to find. Especially in this nice condition. Great investment too. This is an original copy and not a reproduction.

I will ensure this record arrives safely and will be well packaged by special delivery.

If you live in the North West England can arrange to be collected in person at a convenient meeting point.

Will consider overseas bidders.
