WOW!...I have NEVER seen this variation even reported on, let alone been up for sale!
THIS IS ON RECORD YOU CAN BE SURE NOBODY ELSE HAS.

Why is it rare?....Read on....

The 1st pressing of this iconic album was with the Black & Gold lettering and the Dick James credits for the Lennon & McCartney tracks.
The 2nd press corrected the above to Northern Songs credits.
The 3rd press erroneously included a small 33 1/3 next to the matrix number, at the 9 O'Clock position. This was quickly removed and as such, these labels are very rare.
The 4th press got rid of the 33 1/3 error but remained without the 'Recording first published...'  text under the matrix number at the 9 O'clock position...These are very few and far between as this too was corrected very quickly, so not many got out...Making them incredibly rare. The 5th press was very very similar to the 4th press, but started with the side number to the far right of the 'Recording first published' text. There were 2 other subtle differences to this 5th pressing, but remained without the 'Sold in the UK...' text throughout this pressing.
The 6th press...This is where EMI were happy and stayed with for a great number of these labels. They include the 'Recording first published..' text AND now the 'Sold in the UK...' text.

NOW, WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS AN INCREDIBLY RARE TRANSITIONAL COPY, BEARING BOTH THE 5th PRESS LABELS TO SIDE 2 AND THE 6th PRESS LABEL TO SIDE 1!
!!!NEVER BEFORE BEEN REPORTED!!!
(I was astounded when I found it-I have NEVER seen this before).

Yes, it is very strange indeed....The side 1 label has the text 'Recording first published..' as well as the 'Sold in the UK...' text.
BUT..
Side 2 only has the 'Recording first published...' text and NOT the 'Sold in the UK...' text.
On very close inspection, I can see this is not a fake and is a simple factory mistake-No sign of the label ever being lifted and replaced, on either side.

I have just cleaned her with a Pro-Ject VCS Vacuum Record Cleaner and then listened to her, all the way through, on my Focus One deck, fitted with an SME arm and Audio Technica stylus.
I am very please to say the audio was REMARKABLE! Lovely and clear. There were only a couple of very light pops, which didn't last for many revolutions at all...The audio was wonderfully spectacular in STEREO, deep and rich-full of warmth.
FLAT as the day she was born.
SHINY as the day she was born too.
Quiet inbetween tracks too!
SUPERB.

The all important labels are in EXCELLENT condition.
Free from writing, lifting or any damage what-so-ever.
There is some minimal central hole wear, which can be seen in the detailed images provided, as well as some light traces of spindle marks. KT tax code to side 1. Once again-SUPERB!

The Cover:
All original and incredibly well looked after STEREO cover.

It has a slightly smaller STEREO to the top right corner and the Angus Mc Bean credit to the bottom right corner.
The front lamination has 11 small crescents of spidering near the opening and some fingers of spidering from the seems...really nothing bad at all.
The spine remains strong.
The flipbacks are perfectly intact and strong too.
There is some slight discolouration to the back card, as well as some tiny initials to the top left corner-again, nothing to worry about at all.
The corners have some slight rubbing to them, but remain strong. The bottom right corner has a very neat, small split of 3cm to the opening....Would not be seen when framed.
The colours are as vibrant today as they were, back in 1963!

The inner:
NEAR MINT!

All original 'Use Emitex' inner with the incredibly early "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" text too!!
"Made In England"
Poly-lined.
Looks to have just stepped out of a time machine, with just slight discolouration due to age.
FANTASTIC!

SO, FOLKS...THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY THAT NOBODY ELSE HAS....5th & 6th PRESSING STEREO LABELS.
SUPERB VINYL.
WONDERFUL COVER.
MAGICAL INNER!
GRAB THIS BABY WHILST YOU CAN.
