Description

Dub Specialist: Bionic Dub, Part One (Jamaica Recording Studio / Studio One)

An original pressing of a very rare and sought after reggae / dub album by Dub Specialist.  The album is in beautiful condition with one or two tiny dimples in the vinyl surface as a production flaw, but entirely free from scratches, scuffs or smudges.  All of our current reggae came from one collector who took very nice care of his albums, and it shows on this copy.  The sleeve on this album shows some age tanning at edges with some moderate scuffing at corners.  In addition, there are two small spots of staining at the edges from imprecise gluing during production.  Overall a wonderful copy.

Clement “Sir Coxsone” Dodd, also known as Dub Specialist was the owner of Studio One and was instrumental in the reggae / ska sound and this album captures his foray into dub.  Features the songs Bionic, Theme from Steve, Austin Chuck, Six Million, Squash, Meet 7 Million, Oscar, Exodus, Robot Fixt, and Barny Dub.  Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for looking!
