Description

For sale is an original first pressing of The Soft Machine's self-titled LP in stereo from 1968, released on the Probe label. This is the original cover with the interactive disc/wheel you can turn and cycle through the different photos. The uncensored back cover features the band sitting against a giant nude woman with her back turned. The gatefold opens to reveal more photos of the band, tracklist, and text. The record itself is in amazing condition (see photos) and comes with an original(?) inner sleeve for protection. Very little wear on gatefold considering its age, though there is a minor ringwear mark on back as well as a slight split on top of the gatefold inside. This is a rare experimental/psych/prog/jazz album by the British band the Soft Machine, named after the William S. Burroughs novel of the same name. Essential for fans of the genre.
