Description
Hello there,
It's rare that you'll see a copy of this for sale these days, but here we have a copy of the very first album by the legendary Australian instrumental band; the DIRTY THREE. This album, entitled 'Sad & Dangerous' was first released in 1995 with a screen-printed cover (this isn't one of the screen printed copies - those are as rare as hen's teeth). The LP for sale here is one of the second edition copies released by UK label Big Cat in 1996 (this record is ABB107). One side of the record is labelled 'Sad', while the other is 'Dangerous'. The songs on this album were recorded to tape by Dirty Three guitarist Mick Turner at Scuzz Studio in Melbourne (a room in a house, which from what I understand was where the band rehearsed at the time), and is made up of a selection of tracks originally included on the Dirty Three Cassette Tape that was given away at gigs from 1992.
This vinyl version of the album has been out of print for quite some time and is quite rare indeed - in fact the CD version of this album went out of print a few years ago as well, leaving 'Sad & Dangerous' completely out of print on either format.
This record is in great condition - the sleeve has some very small minor scuffs in the corners and a subtle 2cm tear near the woman's head on the front cover near the edge of the opening, otherwise it's perfect. The Vinyl Record is in like new, Mint Condition.
A truly great album and an important piece of Australian music history!
