DICKEY LEE - SUN 280 - 78 RPM RECORD - MEMORIES NEVER GROW OLD/GOOD LOVIN'
This is another great item from Sam Phillips' SUN STUDIO located at 706 Union Avenue in Memphis, Tn. where Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Charlie Rich, Charlie Feathers, B.B. King and others stepped through the door to record history. Blues, Hillbilly, Gospel...it was all there.
This piece is from 1957 and represents Dickey Lees' only release on Sun. Good Lovin sounds similar to Elvis Presley's version of Too Much. Kind of a Rock-a-billy tune backed with a beat ballad. Cool!
Labels- Nearly Perfect. No writing, stickers or other distractions.
Playing Surface: I will call this VG++ in 45 terms. There is a light stain on the record at the beginning of Memories. Some tiny hairline scratches and slight scuffs. Plays through beautifully with almost no surface noise.
This is a great addition to any Rock-A-Billy/Sun collection.This is an extremely nice copy.
