═══════════════════════════════════════════════ THE MUSIC ═══════════════════════════════════════════════ A scarce and sought-after 1500-series Blue Note and one of the great sextet dates of the era — Cliff Jordan's session as leader with a murderers' row: Lee Morgan (trumpet), Curtis Fuller (trombone), John Jenkins (alto sax), Ray Bryant (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), and Art Taylor (drums). Five tracks: "Not Guilty," "St. John," "Blue Shoes," "Beyond the Blue Horizon," and "Ju-Ba."
═══════════════════════════════════════════════ CONDITION ═══════════════════════════════════════════════ VINYL: VG++ (Excellent), plays strong VG+ Glossy, reflective surfaces both sides, no deep scratches. HONEST DISCLOSURE: two repeatable tics on Side 1, Track 1 ("Not Guilty"); plays clean throughout otherwise with the superb Van Gelder fidelity. Graded conservatively off close inspection.
JACKET: VG Front is clean and glossy with light corner wear only. The back cover has "Gainey" written in pen, a small tape patch/residue at the upper "High Fidelity" area, general soiling and age-tanning, a top seam split (~3") with light edge chipping, and corner wear. Structurally solid. Graded VG for full transparency — see all photos.
