HANK MOBLEY SEXTET LP - On Blue Note Records, #1540.  Extremely rare 1957 MONO 12" LP, double sided DEEP GROOVE with the classic Blue & White labels and the 767 LEXINGTON AVE NYC address on both labels.  FLAT EDGE with "EAR" and RVG engraved in the dead wax on both sides.  Thick heavy vinyl, thick cardboard cover.  The personnel:  Donald Byrd, Lee Morgan/trumpets; Hank Mobley/tenor sax; Horace Silver/piano; Paul Chambers/bass; Charlie Persip/drums.  The thick cardboard cover is in VG+ shape and displays wonderfully.  Bottom seam taped very discreetly.  NO cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.  Address on back cover is 767 Lexington Ave., New York 21.  The super glossy vinyl is in VG+ to VG++ condition.  Plays absolutely great!  There are three light scuff lines across first track on side 2 that have no serious effect on play.  The songs are:  Touch And Go; Double Whammy; Barrel Of Funk; Mobleymania.
