Description

Up for bid is a rare mono LP, "Pithecanthropus Erectus" by Charles ("Charlie") Mingus. This was released by Atlantic Records (1237). Here is some extra info about this LP:

LP is a solid VG+, with several light scuffs on either side - plays with light surface noise with no skips. Matrix info is as follows: stamped B followed by etched 11373B followed by AT / stamped D followed by etched 11374 followed by AT. Interior labels are clean with a deep groove on either side. LP retains a nice gloss.LP is stored in a paper sleeve lined with plastic for safe storage Listen to several tracks from this actual LP, for reference:

Jacket is VG+, with a seam split in the bottom left corner. This starts at the bottom corner and travels upward about an inch. All corners show wear. There is a small wear spot on the bottom seam toward the mouth of the jacket. There is some discoloration and light scuffing on the back of the jacket (see pictures). There is a small crease in the front top right corner. There is a tiny mark from an ink pen in the back lower right corner. Front of jacket retains bright coloring and a nice gloss. Don't miss this rare gem! We will pack this securely for safe delivery - this will be a little heavy due to the inserts we put in the LP mailer. LP will be packaged inside of a paper sleeve and placed in the polybag, outside of the jacket.Domestic delivery will be via USPS media mail including a tracking number.
