Description
Being offered is a great blast from the past! "Chicken Fat" was a song written by Meredith Wilson and expertly performed by Robert Preston (of "The Music Man" fame.) Released in 1961 in accordance with President John F. Kennedy's new Council on Physical Fitness, it was distributed throughout the schools to help promote being active and healthy, while offering a fun way of participating. This version is with the rare Jaycee's label. It was also produced with the Capital records logo in greater quantity. It is a 7" record that plays at 33 1/3 rpm and has 2 versions, one for radio airplay at 2:12 and the longer version for exercising at 6:30. Includes the insert which explains how the recording came about with the flip side showing the exercises performed. It is in VG+-EX condition with some nominal surface wear, but please be advised that this is strictly based on a visual grading as I have not played the record. Take a walk into a more innocent time, and get off the couch as you exercise once again to "Chicken Fat". Thanks for looking!
