Description
This is the ultra-rare original deep groove pressing of Bud Powell “Trio” on the green and silver labels of Royal Roost RLP 401. (It should be noted that the original pressing of RLP 401 is most often seen on vinyl with a dull finish and noticeable – sometimes distracting – background noise.) The flat-rim playing surface shows small hairlines and two small scuffs, none of which are audible; the record has only the slightest background noise on the first two tracks of Side 1, while the remainder of Side 1 and the entirety of Side 2 play quietly and with great clarity; there is a nice luster and no visible groove wear; sharp edges on the spindle hole. The buff-color blank-back cover is clean and in beautiful condition throughout, with no seam wear. Personnel include Curly Russell and Max Roach. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL.
