Description

This may just be one of the rarest copies of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" in existence. Rather than the well known pre-release "script" cover, this is a transitional copy that dates to right after the cover was finalized, but before the record was publicly released. The white label on the disc also differs from the "script" cover, with this copy from Columbia's Pitman, NJ plant. I was told by an archivist at the Bruce Springsteen Special Collection at Monmouth University that this copy is likely MORE RARE than the script copy.

This was also before the "John" Landau typo was discovered, so there was never a sticker placed over the back cover's bottom.

Inside is an insert from a "Drew" at Columbia Records with info on the track listing. This was likely sent out to a radio station just before the album's official release.

The cover and disc are in VG++ condition. The album sounds as great as it would on a commercially released disc.
