Description
This could have been the copy that Bruce listened to in the studio when it was first cut onto vinyl. It was a working copy, the studio had paper taped to the back of the album that has been removed, they even wrote on the back cover itself. This copy is before the test pressings were made, before the labels, looks like they weren't sure which side would be side 1, they are reversed on this label. Contains all the music that the album Born To Run has on it. It has MCR written in the tail off. The album has some light surface scratches, a smudge, and signs of being handled, but nothing that affects playability. There is some surface noise in the quietest of parts just like a regular record, and some slight ticking sounds at the beginning of "She's The One", but unless you are face deep in your speakers like I was you probably would not even notice. There was a sticker over Bruce's face on the cover, and had been taken off and pulled off a little of his picture (see photo). There is ring wear, some dirt, edges are a little roughed up, tape on the back, place where tape had been and when they pulled it off pulled off some of the cover. Fact is I am selling much more than a record, but a piece of history, americana, an item that had not been sent overseas to be made better, an item very close to the artist. I don't know how many of these would have been made, maybe 4 or 5, but if someone out there knows, I would appreciate hearing from you. ****NOTE*** I had previously listed this album but no one bid on it. After the auction was over I received emails from people asking if they could buy it at a reduced price. For what this item is I still believe my pricing was fair, but I will let the buyers decide that. Good Luck!
