This first issue, with it's 1/1 matrices, has become known as the 'Loud Cut' due mainly to Paul's booming bass guitar, throughout. Although subsequent alterations quickly appeared ( 1/4, 4/4 and 5/5), this still remains the most sought after variant

The Vinyl
Audio: Outstanding - all tracks deliver crystal clear sound from near silent run ins - just a few soft ticks in dead wax only, between tracks 3/4 - no mark though
Disc: Looks as good as new - beautiful deep gloss surfaces appearing near pristine in normal daylight, only revealing the faintest of handling lines under a halogen lamp
Labels: As new - no age spotting - visible spindle trails - MT tax code on side 2 centre

The Cover
Garrod and Lofthouse 'patents pending' - strong example - no damage, writing or sticker marks - general age toning - some laminate wrinkles around perimeters - better than most original issues

Inner Sleeve:
Original 'Emitex' thick paper with polythene liner - rarest ' Made In England' patents pending - near perfect example

All in all, one of the best 'Loud Cut' discs I've ever seen, perfect for any Beatles collection
