CONDITION
Both discs
Labels: 1 & 2. EXCELLENT + 3 & 4 NEAR MINT
A superb set, all with clean & unworn centre hole. Disc 1's labels display a small collection of tiny marks around each centre hole but both on disc 2 bear just a single, barely visible mark to each.
Visual: Both discs are: EXCELLENT +
All playing surface are extremely clean & & glossy and free from any surface marks or wear when viewed in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving, powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than one or two harmless stylus hairlines and some unavoidable wispy paper hairlines consistent with careful and seldom removal from the inner-sleeves. Both discs lie 100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping visible when playing.
Play: Both disc are: EXCELLENT +
Both have received very little play, and what there has been has with great care on excellent quality equipment. As a result, my careful play-check at volume found no evidence of any groove/playwear distortion or any other significant audible faults throughout. The only traces of wear on disc 1 was a touch of light background in the side 1 run-in and on the introductions to 'Dear Prudence' & 'Martha My Dear'. I did not detect any clicks, pops or any other such distractions anywhere. Disc 2 has probably been played even less, and again is without any significant deterioration to the sound quality. I did pick up a few 'swishes' in the side 4 run-in into first song's intro together with a few light ticks at the beginning of 'Revolution #9' and slight background on 'Goodnight'. However, apart from these minor blemishes, this is still an extremely respectable sounding copy overall.
Cover
EXCELLENT
A very strong and heavy example from thick card stock which displays some light handling & storagewear but no major faults. The front panel is clean & glossy with no yellowing and just a single significant light bend in the upper right corner area. The number is clean & readable and apart from a few tiny wrinkles to the spine, is otherwise unworn & unblemished. There is a little shelfwear rubbing to the lower corners, but no heavy bumps or bruising to any. All of the top-opening edges are clean & sharp woth no heavy pushes, tears or feathering to any. The rear panel is as clean as the front but again there is a light crease towards the lower right corner and a few more small ones in the upper left. The inside of the gatefold is immaculate & unblemished. All seams are smooth & unstressed and although the spine has some splitting to the laminate, both sets of wording are clean, readable and undamaged.
Poster
EXCELLENT
Clean & unhung with a few light handling wrinkles but splits or tears to any of the folds.
Photos
NEAR MINT
All are clean & uncreased with just a few light scratches on each consistent with removal from the cover.
Spacer
VERY GOOD +
Some minor age-related blemishes & wear, but no major faults.
Inner-sleeves
EXCELLENT +
Both a very clean & flat with just the inevitable light disc impression but no tears to the top-edges or centre holes or splits to either.
