"Let it Be Box Set" by the Beatles

Only the very first releases of the let it be LP album in 1970 came as a "box set", paired with a unique 170 page book of photos that has never been released separately.

LP Cover
The cover for the LPs sold in the box set have a small red apple on the back of the cover, at the bottom. See main photo. (Later issues have a green apple in this position)

* In VG+ condition
* The cover is complete with no writing, and just a few minor scuffs on some of the edges, and no damage except a small 2" tear on the bottom edge on the right hand side, which is invisible in the photograph.

* First matrix numbers YEX 773-2U and YEX 774-2U ie the first box set issue (The matrix numbers were very quickly changed to -3U, particularly side 2)
* First mother pressings on both sides - mother/stampers are 1MA and 1GGP.
* Both sides have been played and listened to all the way through, play graded EX+ to VG+

* Spine completely firm and all pages well stuck in
* No torn pages.
* No writing anywhere.
* No loose pages.
* All 170 pages inside look stunning vibrant mint colour - see selection of only 2 copied here.
* No creasing or marks or writing found on any of the pages.

This was the Beatles final album, released in 1970. As sold, the box set was in a thin cardboard box that was very flimsy and only opened with great difficulty. Unsurprisingly this flimsy cardboard container has not survived, and is not included in the sale.

LP Visual and Play
All 4 sides of the LPs have been not only visually examined, but also played on a quality deck and carefully listened to all the way through.

Side 1 - Visually graded VG+ some light superficial scratches and a scuff, all just on the right hand side. Play graded VG+ The LP plays right through with no hops, no jumps, no sticks and with light noise noted in just two tracks. There were very quiet regular clicks at the start of track3 and three ticks near the end of the last track.
Side 2 -Visually graded VG+ some light surface scratches, but these were found to be undetectable on the soundtrack. Side 2 played EX to EX+ with no hops, no jumps, and just an odd occasional click at the start of the first track.
