Description
"Let it Be Box Set" by the Beatles
Only the very first releases of the let it be LP album in 1970 came as a "box set", paired with a unique 170 page booklet of photos that has never been released separately.

* Matrix numbers YEX 773-2U and YEX 774-2U ie the first box set issue (The matrix numbers were very quickly changed to -3U, particularly side 2)
* Visually graded and play graded NearMint-
* Both sides have been played and listened to all the way through, detailed play notes are at the bottom of the page.

* Excellent condition
* Spine completely firm and undamaged
* No loose pages.
* No torn pages.
* No writing anywhere.
* All 170 pages inside look stunning vibrant mint colour - see selection of only 3 copied here.
* A few creases in the cover and some laminate separated from the card of the cover on the left hand side near the spine.
* No creasing or marks found on any of the pages.
LP Cover
The cover for the LPs sold in the box set have a small red apple on the back of the cover, at the bottom. (Later issues have a green apple in this position)

* In excellent condition
* No damage, no tears, no seamsplits and no writing. A few light scuffs around the edges.
* This cover as sold was very thin and flimsy, and it is very unusual to find one now in such great condition.
This was the Beatles final album, released in 1970. As sold, the box set was in a thin cardboard box that was very flimsy and only opened with great difficulty. Unsurprisingly this flimsy cardboard container has not survived, and is not included in the sale.
LP Visual and Play
All 4 sides of the LPs have been not only visually examined, but also played on a quality deck and carefully listened to all the way through.
Side 1 - visually rated EX+ just two short superficial scratches on track 2. No other marks or rubs on all of the playing tracks. Play graded NearMint- . On the whole side I detected just one single click near the start of track 2. On all other tracks no clicks, no ticks, no hops, no background noises or crackle, even silent gaps between the tracks. Side 2 - visually graded NearMint- in the strongest light at just the right angle you may be able to see a few very faint rubs. Play was also found to be NearMint- I could find no ticks, no clicks, no crackles or background noise anywhere - very very nice indeed !
There were no hops or sticks or jumps or ticks anywhere.
