THE BEATLES - 'GET BACK'/'DON'T LET ME DOWN'
UK 1969 BLANK APPLE LABEL 45
This unusual and rare mispressing is technically a UK 1969 mono 1st pressing on the dark green Apple label: R 5777
However, the 'A' side label is without any text whatsoever resulting in a highly attractive blank Apple label.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in both run outs only.
The disc is housed within its original black glossy Apple company cover.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 21296-1U & & 7XCE 21297-1U
Stamper codes: 4/RGR & 4/RGH
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT +
The outstanding 'A' side label is perfectly clean & undamaged with just two or three small spindle trails to its centre hole. The 'B' side label has a small scuff in the upper right portion, probably from manufacture, but no other significant signs of wear.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Both playing surfaces are perfectly clean & bright with no signs of any surface marks or wear in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveal a small amount of wispy paper hairlines but no other traces of wear.
Play: EXCELLENT +
A superb sounding copy which has been barely played and as a result every part of both songs are clean and totally unworn with no groovewear or background noise anywhere.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
Clean & flat with light storage wrinkling but no writing, tears or splits.
