Beatles 45 Twist and Shout SCARCE Block Logo Green Print “Mccartney” Error, NM!

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

Another little-known pressing of the “Twist and Shout” single.  Probably released the same day as the first pressing, this copy has the scarcer block lettering in green to begin with.  But the first few copies listed under the songwriting credits for Side 2, “There’s a Place,” misspelled Paul’s surname as “Mccartney.”  A VERY short-lived error from way back in 1964.

Quickly corrected to “McCartney,” (see compere photo) not many of these got out, and they haven’t been available since 1964.

Vinyl: NM/EX.  Side 1 looks very nearly unplayed.  Side 2 only has a very few light lines in a sea of brand new gloss.  This copy is very close to what it looked like in the record bin, way back 61 years ago.

Plates: The “ARP” and “Audio Matrix” machine stamps are both present on each side in the deadwax.

Labels: EX/EX.  Just a slight amount of dirtwear on the Side 1 label.  Side 2 label looks very clean.

Sleeve: NM Generic white sleeve.

Gonna hate to see this one go, but it’s time for another collector to be proud of it!

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!
