Here it is folks, the extremely rare and hard to find misspelled BEATTLES Vee Jay #498 with the number symbol (#) on the label issued on February 7, 1963!!! Bruce Spizer designates this rarity in his book "Beatles Records on Vee Jay" (1998) (Spizer VJ 498.03) "as the rarest of all the misspelled label variations." This record was manufactured by Southern Plastics right here in good ole Nashville Tennessee!! How often do you see this 45 sold here on ebay in any condition? Perry Cox in his book "Price Guide for the Beatles American Records" (6th Edition 2007) values the 45 as a, arguably, Top 10 most valuble/collectible Beatles record!!! Judge for your self the condition of the 45 through the pictures...I describe the labels as a strong VG+; slightest of storage wear in the colorband area. Some slight discoloration in the black label on the label probably from a previous cleaning but hardly noticeable...The vinyl on both sides as been used of course and shows some minor wear, scratches and scuffing..."Audio Matrix" machine stamped in the trail off areas of both sides of the disc... I have tried to provide close up shots of the band areas on both sides. two more notable scratches on the PPM side as shown in the picture.....As you can see, the vinyl retains much of its nice glossy shine....really hate to part with this one because I just have not been able to find another with such great labels....Highest bid over $800 WINS!!! 5 day auction.....Good Luck!!
