Description

This is Bad Religion's third release, the "Into the unknown" LP, released in 1983 on Epitaph Records and long out of print. This one comes with the RARE lyrics and pictures insert (SEE PICTURE!). The band has since disowned this album and said they will never press it again + rumors say they try to get ahold of all the remaining copies to destroy them! The truth is it's not as bad as they say... Sure, in retrospect, I understand the fans who were shocked to hear this album right after their "How could hell be any worse" album. This doesn't sound like their other stuff at all, more or less like new wave... The first time I listened to it, I thought of Men Without Hats, especialy because of the keyboard and the way Greg's voice sounds on this release! That's how it sounds, great pop-new wave songs with some keyboard! Definitely not your average Bad Religion album but an interesting item tho! On this album, Bad Religion was: Greg Graffin on vocals and synthesizer, Mr Brett on guitar, Paul Dedona on bass and Davy Goldman on drums. The recording sessions were very turbulent, with drummer Pete Finestone and bass player Jay Bentley leaving during the recording of the first song! They were quickly replaced by Goldman and DeDona. 10 000 of these albums were pressed and they were returned to the band, who warehoused them all. Most of them got out anyway, since Brett Gurewitz's girlfriend Suzy Shaw (who worked at the warehouse where the LPs were stored) had sold all but 300 copies of the record.Track listing: 1. It's only over when... 2. Chasing the wild goose 3. Billy Gnosis 4. Time And Disregard 5. The Dichotomy 6. Million Days 7. Losing Generation 8. ... You give up Please take not that THIS ALBUM WAS NEVER RELEASED ON CD and WILL NEVER BE since the band doesn’t want to hear about this record anymore! All the so-called Into the Unknown CD’s are, in fact, bootlegs! So bid now and get the REAL THING, not some cheap bootleg! Record in superb condition and plays PERFECTLY without any skip or pop, Jacket in superb condition too with only slightly visible ringwear and insert in great condition too but with a small hole in the upper left corner of the lyrics side and some slight damage around as well as small fold lines on all corners of the insert except the lower right corner of the lyrics side (SEE PICTURE!). Any Bad Religion collector should have this ultra-rare item! Buyer to pay shipping. Pay by money order or well concealed cash (send at your own risks) or PayPal. Please take a look at my other auctions :) Please Note that I sell to ANYBODY willing to pay (no country-discrimination here!) and I won't charge an arm and a leg for shipping. You'll pay exact shipping charges. Me too, I hate those people who ask more money for "handling" or "packing" or "their time". I do the work by myself and with a smile and I recycle envelopes and boxes and use brown bags for packing and I pack well :) I treat my customers the way I like to be treated!
